AUSTIN A 15-year-old girl is dead after a street race led to a wreck in Southeast Austin Saturday. Police say the 19-year old driver and five other passengers ranging from age eleven to sixteen were all injured.
Some streets in Denver's downtown business district will be closed Monday through Wednesday to accommodate the Democratic National Convention. Public-transit services also will be affected.

PATERSON - The 38th annual Puerto Rican Day Parade on Sunday afternoon was a smaller celebration than those from years past. But enthusiasm for Puerto Rican culture and the naming of new event leaders brought anticipation for larger parades in the future.

A 3 alarm fire kept fire crews busy Friday night at the Shoal Creek Condominiums at 38th and a half street. The fire broke out shortly after 8 p.m. It took about 20 trucks and 55 fire fighters to battle the fire.
